Care instructions
To maintain the quality of the Latex Sense Traditional Dunlop Latex Pillow, please follow these simple but specific instructions:
Air Out: Leave the cushion to get air outside frequently by keeping it in a well-ventilated area. This aids in maintaining the feeling of freshness and the elimination of any odours that may accumulate with age.
Protect from Moisture: Keep the pillow away from direct sunlight and dampness, since prolonged exposure to these factors can deteriorate the latex material.
Use a Pillow Protector: Consider using a pillow protector or an extra pillowcase to protect the pillow from body oils, dust, and other contaminants. Make sure the protector is breathable to allow proper air circulation.
DO NOT USE Washing Machine/Dryer: Do not wash the latex pillow in a washing machine or dry it in a dryer, as this can damage the material. Hand washing or spot cleaning is the recommended method for cleaning. Please do not wash the pillow, as this will damage the foam.
Cleaning Recommendation: Spot clean any stains or spills on the pillow with a moderate detergent and lukewarm water on a regular basis. Harsh chemicals should be avoided, as they can harm the latex material. To remove stains, spot-clean using a cloth that is lightly moistened with mild soap and water. Rinse with a damp cloth. Wipe with a towel and allow the pillow to air-dry before covering it with a pillowcase or protector.
Storage: When not in use, store the pillow in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any potential damage.
Always refer to the manufacturer's care instructions specific to your pillow for the most accurate guidance on maintaining its quality and longevity.

FAQs
No, the Traditional Dunlop Latex Pillow is Latex Sense brand, NOT Dunlopillo brand. Our pillows are made with 100% natural Dunlop latex.
-
Dunlop Latex Process: Dunlop is a method of manufacturing latex foam. This process is used to produce latex foam used in various products, like mattresses and pillows.
-
Dunlopillo Brand: Dunlopillo is a well-known brand that produces mattresses, pillows, and other bedding items. They use Dunlop latex in many of their products, but the brand itself is not synonymous with the manufacturing process.
The misunderstanding often arises when people assume that Dunlop latex is exclusively associated with the Dunlopillo brand. It's important for customers to distinguish between the manufacturing process (Dunlop latex) and the brand name (Dunlopillo) when researching or purchasing latex pillows or other bedding.
Dunlop is the original manufacturing process for latex foams. The milk derived from the sap of the rubber tree is vulcanised and baked into foam. It’s naturally obtained from a sustainable source, and it’s more durable than alternatives, leading to a lesser long-term impact on the environment. The process was first invented in 1929, and the method has not changed significantly since then. This technique yields a dense foam that may be customised to a variety of firmness levels. It creates a supportive and durable material for pillows.
Yes, they are hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and other common allergens, making them an excellent choice for those with allergies or sensitivities.
The pillow does not emit any odour. There may be a hint of a natural latex scent initially, but it dissipates quickly. Proper ventilation will help to accelerate the process.
The Latex Sense Traditional Dunlop Latex Pillow offers medium-soft support, providing excellent support for the head and neck.
The Latex Sense Traditional Dunlop Latex Pillow has a traditional shape and is ideal for side, front, and back combined sleepers.
The pillow's luxurious plush feel is due to its unique pin-hole design and open cell structure, which provide enhanced air circulation, making the pillow cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The result is that you wake up feeling recharged and energised. Latex has temperature- and moisture-control properties.
The pillow is finished with a super soft cotton zip cover and fills all standard pillow cases. The pillow has dimensions of 65cm long, 40cm wide, and 14cm high and is designed to fit a standard 70 x 50cm pillow case.
Do not wash the latex pillow in a washing machine or dry it in a dryer, as this can damage the latex material. Hand washing or spot cleaning is the recommended method for cleaning. Please do not soak the pillow, as this will damage the foam.
The pillow may show some manufacturing imperfections but not deterioration or falling apart of the latex foam. The pillows are made in moulds with metal spikes, and when the pillow is de-moulded, it is possible for small splits to appear where the holes are. This is the nature of the manufacturing process, not a fault or defect with the products. You can rest assured that these small cosmetic imperfections will not affect the performance or longevity of the pillows.
With proper care, they can last for many years. Their durability is one of the advantages of using natural latex.
Our pillows are made of 100% natural Dunlop latex, which is halogen-, metal-, and chemical-free. The latex is FR as per UK fire regulations that need to apply to all bedding. The latex is treated with fire retardants in order to comply with the Furniture and Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations. The treatment is a patented FR surface spray that is free from nasty chemicals such as antimony, bromine, and formaldehyde. The products are tested and certified to the OEKO TEX 100 standard; they do not contain harmful substances and are safe to be used by babies. The fire retardant is suitable for domestic usage, non-harmful, and complies with BS5852 and BS7177.
