The Millenium Latex Mattress is made with an 18-cm-thick 100% Talalay latex core and offers a uniform feel from top to bottom. The 18-cm natural latex core is finished with a quilted Tencel cover. The completed mattress is approximately 20cm deep. It offers plush comfort, optimum pressure-relieving properties, and muscle relaxation. Talalay latex is a two-dimensional material; it softly embraces the natural cuves of your body, maintaining your back and spine in an appropriate position during sleep. Talalay latex creates an abundance of "hug," giving you a cosy "cradling" sensation.

Natural latex is inherently resilient and long-lasting, retaining its shape and supportiveness for years to come. This makes the mattress an excellent choice for individuals with allergies or asthma, providing a clean and healthy sleeping surface. The Talalay latex is very elastic, feels bouncy and springy, and is better suited if you want a gentler feel with optimum pressure relief.

Talalay latex is made with one comfort zone due to its superior elasticity and ability to conform to the natural contours of the body, and its cell structure is very consistent. The mattress has a uniform feel and a lighter, fluffier touch. The process is more expensive due to its two extra steps and the limitation of the size of the moulds. It is complimented with a super soft quilted Tencel cover that adds a plush and luxurious feel.

The Millenium Latex Mattress is 20cm high, available in soft, medium, or firm support, and is suitable for all intact bedsteads and divan bases. It is very flexible and the perfect match for adjustable beds. It bends easily and follows the body’s contours when the adjustable mechanism is operated.

The latex used in this mattress is certified to eco-INSTITUT; meets the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®; achieved the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Gold level; and complies with the principles of FSC® to promote sustainably managed forests and ecosystems.

The textiles used in the mattress cover are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

The Talalay products and their production processes have been accredited and fulfil the highest health standards.

Eco-INSTITUT certification is a globally recognised label assessing a product's environmental and health compliance, ensuring safety and sustainability throughout its lifecycle, from raw material extraction to disposal. Employing eco-INSTITUT-certified Talalay latex guarantees trust, environmental consciousness, and superior quality.

Our 100% natural Talalay meets Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Gold level requirements for material health, reutilisation, renewable green energy, carbon management, water stewardship, and social responsibility. It is safe, free of any toxic materials that can have an impact on the environment and human health, and 100% recyclable.

The mattress fulfils the human-ecological criteria of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. The certificate applies to all 100% natural Talalay latex mattresses, toppers, pillows, and covers. It provides a high level of chemical exposure protection for both human health and the environment.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a nonprofit organisation, assures that the forests from which Talalay products are derived are responsibly managed. Incorporating health and safety laws, they additionally take into consideration social and economic factors to ensure fair working conditions and traceability across the production process.

More about this product...

Millenium Latex Mattress Feature

Production process: Talalay is a complex contemporary manufacturing method that involves a few additional steps as compared to the Dunlop latex process. Before baking, the latex is whipped into a froth, poured into a mould, sealed with a vacuum, and then rapidly frozen. The key distinction is the freezing stage (-30°C/-22°F), when the round cells break open so they can connect with each other.

During manufacturing, latex is baked at a temperature of more than 110 degrees for about 50 minutes. This process kills all potential allergens.

The natural properties of latex provide an environment free from microorganisms, mites, bacteria, and dust that generally cause allergies and inflammation.

Talalay Latex is 100% natural, certified to eco-INSTITUT, meets the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM Gold level awarded, and complies with FSC® principles to nurture ecologically sound forest management.

The mattress cover is crafted from Tencel fabric, a natural fibre extracted from wood pulp.

ActiproTM technology protects against allergens, dust mites, and odours, ensuring a fresh, healthy sleep environment.

The textiles used in the mattress cover are Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified.

Millenium Latex Mattress Feature

Talalay latex is defined as the ‘’Earth's Finest Sleeping Material.’’

Talalay latex is a lavish, luxurious material with a silky feel that fully justifies its premium price.

Responsive bounce: Talalay latex has a responsive and springy quality. It immediately returns to its former shape whenever pressure is applied. The latex material lightly elevates and supports the body, creating a buoyant experience.

Dynamic support: The buoyant sensation contributes to a dynamic support system. The latex adjusts instantly when you move or shift during sleep, providing constant and adaptive support.

Weight Distribution: Talalay latex is known for its ability to distribute weight equally. When you lie on a surface made of this material, it cradles your body and prevents you from sinking or bottoming out. You feel the sensation of floating on the surface instead of being engulfed by it.

Pressure relief: The floating support helps alleviate pressure points by conforming to the contours of the body. This is particularly beneficial for reducing discomfort in areas such as the shoulders, hips, and joints.

Arthritis conditions: The bone-deep discomfort and soreness of arthritis can be managed at night with the soft support of latex. To maintain your body at its peak performance throughout the night, latex cradles and aligns your spine, relieving additional strain on the joints. Softer-feeling latex mattresses will benefit people who encounter arthritis pain.

Breathable Tencel Actipro™ Cover

The mattress comprises an inner cotton cover that protects the internal core. The outer cover is made of Tencel fabric, which is a natural fibre:

  • Responsibly extracted from wood pulp
  • With great strength, efficient moisture absorption, and gentleness to the skin
  • With a soft knitted sleep surface, it keeps your mattress fresh and cool
  • ActiproTM technology is used in the fabric to provide healthful protection against allergens, dust mites, and odours
  • Actipro is an anti-bacterial treatment applied to the Tencel fabric that uses active probiotics
  • Actipro probiotic finish is a safe and effective natural solution for combating allergens without destroying the positive microorganisms
  • During manufacture, the Actipro microflora is attached to the cover fabric using natural clay technology

100% Natural Talalay Latex Core

100% natural Talalay latex with great elasticity offers excellent pressure relief and muscle relaxation, allowing you to always wake up refreshed.

Talalay latex is naturally breathable; its round, open-cell structure helps you stay cool in summer and warm in winter.

This self-ventilation prevents sweating, reduces dust mites, and promotes hygienic, healthy sleep.

"Should have listened to advice and got medium one for husband! Soft one on slatted base is lovely for me but this one was not quite resilient enough on drawer divan, fortunately we had memory foam mattresses topper from previous arrangements so put that under new latex mattress and now it’s fine. "Love this mattress. I am quite small and have slatted bed base so soft is perfect for me. My old mattress used to make my hips ache but this one is like sleeping on a cloud. It cools down really quickly, which is great cos I get hot in bed these days. These mattresses are seriously expensive, so take your time and talk to the store people who are very knowledgeable and helpful. I think they are worth the money; I’ve never had a more comfortable mattress."

Care instructions

Status of the mattress upon delivery

The Millenium Latex Mattress is vacuum-packed and rolled. This ensures mattress hygiene, quality in transit, and improved delivery timeframes. Your mattress was carefully vacuum-packed on the day it was shipped to you. We use one of the newest and most innovative packing technologies in the bedding industry; it neither damages nor impairs the performance of the mattress.

Storing your mattress and how to handle it

Please be kindly advised that we do not recommend storing the mattress in a rolled and vacuumed state for more than 4 weeks, as this will damage the product. Take the mattress out of the box and put it on the bed. Carefully cut the tape that holds the roll together and unroll the mattress while it is in its polythene bag. Please take extreme care so as not to damage your item. It will still be compressed, and you need to cut the bag closer to the heat seal. Take extra care, as the tool you use can damage the cover.

Sleeping on the mattress

The mattress recovers to its full shape and size after unpacking; please allow up to 24 hours for the optimal balance to be reached. However, since it is not a mandatory requirement, you can begin using the mattress right away.

Identifying the top side of your mattress

The side with the big product sticker attached to the cover is the side you sleep on. The Millennium Latex Mattress is a monozoned mattress; there is no head or foot end.

Moving and manoeuvring your mattress

Take extreme care while moving the mattress, as the foam fillings can tear if grabbed or pulled on corners or edges. You can rotate and turn the mattress from top to bottom once every month; this will ensure even wear and tear and prolong its lifespan. The sewn-on handles are designed to assist with the rotation and positioning of the mattress while lying flat on the divan base. Sewn-on handles are not intended for carrying the whole weight of the mattress, and you are at risk of damaging the border's fabric upholstery.

Cleaning your mattress

The mattress covers are not washable. The mattress must be kept dry; therefore, we strongly advise using a good-quality mattress protector at all times. The zip on the cover is solely used during production to easily place the cover on the mattress. We do not recommend removing and washing the cover; if you do, it is at your own risk, and we will not be held liable for any damage or shrinkage resulting from the washing of the cover. The mattress cover can be cautiously vacuumed, including the underside.

In the event that you spill liquid on your mattress and it gets wet, spot clean any stains with a damp cloth, carefully unzip and remove the top panel of the cover to naturally dry until the liquid is evaporated, and then air the mattress core until it is fully dry. The mattress can then be used again. Never use detergents or chemical cleaners on your mattress. This can adversely affect not only the fabrics but also the fillings inside.

Bed-base requirement

The mattress can be used on any bed base—solid top divan, sprung edge divan, solid slatted, or sprung slatted base. The gaps across the slats should be between 2 and 3 inches wide (5 cm to 7.5 cm). Using the mattress with a wider gap could cause damage and invalidate your guarantee. Do not use the mattress on the floor; the lack of ventilation may lead to mould and mildew buildup and invalidate your guarantee.

Latex Sense reserves the right to refuse warranty repair or replacement if a new mattress becomes damaged due to being used on a bed base with inadequate slat gaps, a second-hand bed foundation with insufficient support, or if it is in an unsanitary condition.

Mattress care

Do not let children jump on the mattress; it may damage it and invalidate your guarantee. The mattress is designed for sleeping on; therefore, prolonged sitting on the edge can cause damage and place undue stress on this area of the mattress. The mattress is two-sided; you can rotate and turn the mattress from top to bottom once every month; this will ensure even wear and tear and prolong its lifespan. You can air the mattress every time you change your bed linen to keep it fresh and dry.

Please keep packaging away from children. Please recycle or dispose of the packaging.

If you require further advice, please contact us at 0208 450 7662 or HERE.

What is Talalay Latex, and what are its benefits?

Talalay latex is defined as the ‘’Earth's Finest Sleeping Material.’’

Production process: Talalay is a complex contemporary manufacturing method that involves a few additional steps as compared to the Dunlop latex process. Before baking, the latex is whipped into a froth, poured into a mould, sealed with a vacuum, and then rapidly frozen. The key distinction is the freezing stage (-30°C/-22°F) when the round cells break open so they can connect with each other. Talalay latex is up to 10 times more breathable than other foams due to these interconnected round cells. The cell structure is very consistent, and the mattress has one uniform feel all the way through from top to bottom as well as a lighter, fluffier feel. Talalay latex is made with one comfort zone due to its superior elasticity, as it adapts better to the shape of the body. The process is more expensive due to its two extra steps and the limitation of the size of the moulds.

Responsive bounce: Talalay latex has a responsive and springy quality. When pressure is applied, it immediately returns to its former shape.

Talalay latex is a lavish, luxurious material with a silky feel. It is softer, bouncier, and springier than Dunlop latex. Talalay latex offers excellent support and surpasses comfort. It conforms to the body's contours, providing great pressure relief.

Is the mattress entirely chemical free?

We use only 100% natural latex, and the mattress does not contain any chemicals or synthetic materials. Latex is halogen, metal, and chemical-free.

Does the Millenium Latex Mattress off gas or have an odour?

No, mattresses made entirely of natural materials do not release any gases. They may have a mild natural rubber scent initially when they come out of our factory, but it dissipates within a few days.

Is the mattress suitable for customers with allergies or sensitivities?

Yes, the Millenium Latex Mattress is hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and other common allergens, making it an excellent choice for those with allergies or sensitivities.

Is the mattress suitable for hot and restless sleepers?

Latex is a naturally breathable and self-ventilating material that does not cause overheating. It is constructed with millions of interconnected air bubbles that allow instant air circulation and keep the mattress fresh and cool all night. Latex is not a heat-sensitive product and does not react to body temperature. We recommend using natural cotton bed sheets and duvets to create a pleasant microclimate

What fire retardant methods do you use to comply with UK Fire regulations?

According to UK law, all mattresses must comply with certain fire safety standards. It is a legal requirement for all mattresses to be made fire-retardant. We choose to employ natural graphite instead of toxic chemicals. We use natural graphite, a mineral derived from Mother Nature, as the only natural fire-retardant additive in the mattress. The graphite has fire-retardant properties, and when mixed with latex, it acts as a fire barrier.

Do you use any adhesives to bond different layers in the mattress?

We use water based natural latex glue Simalfa 325, which is solvent and chemical free. The adhesive has Green Guard Gold Certification, and conforms to the many changing environmental regulations, proven as completely harmless. The adhesive SIMALFA® 325 does not contain any substances or raw materials from animal products and, therefore, it is vegan.

What are the benefits of Tencel cover?

The mattress cover is made of Tencel fabric, which is a natural fibre extracted from wood pulp. ActiproTM technology is used in the fabric to provide healthful protection against allergens, dust mites, and odours, which helps to maintain a clean, fresh, and healthy sleep environment. Actipro is an anti-bacterial treatment applied to the Tencel fabric that uses active probiotics. Actipro probiotic finish is a safe and effective natural solution for combating allergens without destroying the positive microorganisms. During manufacture, the Actipro microflora is attached to the cover fabric using natural clay technology. Actipro offers natural protection against house dust mites by neutralising the allergens.

How to choose the firmness of the mattress? Soft, Medium or Firm?

The choice of firmness depends on your body weight, sleeping positions, the bed base you use, and your personal preference.

  • Soft mattresses are suitable for children and very light people weighing up to 9st / 57kg, and who enjoy sinking into the bed
  • Medium mattresses are suitable for people with body weights up to 14st / 90kg
  • Firm comfort levels are recommended for heavier people, as they need denser support to keep their spines aligned
  • Side sleepers prefer medium mattresses as they enable the shoulders and hips to sink deeper
  • Front and back sleepers find firmer mattresses more comfortable as they keep the back and spine in the correct position during sleep

The bed base is very important; the same mattress will feel firmer on a solid top divan and softer on a sprung slatted base, for example.

What is the best bed base to use in conjunction with the mattress? Is it compatible with Adjustable beds?

The Millenium Latex Mattress can be used with any durable and high-quality bed platform that provides adequate support, such as a solid top divan, a sprung edge divan, a solid slatted base, or a sprung slatted base. The mattress is compatible with Adjustable beds. However, it is essential to ensure that the gaps across the slats measure between 2 and 3 inches wide (5cm to 7.5cm). Using the mattress on a bed with a greater gap could cause damage and invalidate your guarantee. Also, please do not use the mattress on the floor, as the lack of ventilation may lead to mould and mildew buildup, which will revoke your guarantee.

Latex Sense reserves the right to refuse warranty repair or replacement if a new mattress becomes damaged due to being used on a bed base with inadequate slat gaps, a second-hand bed foundation with insufficient support, or if it is in an unsanitary condition.

Is the mattress durable?

Yes, 100% natural latex mattresses are renowned for their longevity, and their expected lifespan is 15 to 20 years, or even longer with proper care. They often outlast many other types of mattresses. Latex is a natural material with high elasticity and is also extremely durable. It always bounces back to its initial size and shape after long-lasting deformations and keeps a consistent feel across its lifespan.

Is the mattress sustainable and eco-friendly?

Sustainable construction techniques and materials are used to build the entire mattress. You may sleep soundly knowing that our mattresses are environmentally friendly and green. We are committed to creating eco-friendly latex mattresses without memory foam's adverse environmental impacts.

How long does the mattress break-in period last?

All latex mattresses have a break-in period, which is usually 30 days. Thus, many companies offer in-home sleep trials, which are intended to give customers the opportunity to adjust and fully evaluate the properties of their mattresses. The exact amount of time it takes to adapt to and get used to a new mattress depends on the type of mattress and how different your new mattress is from your old one. As the break-in period is significantly important, we strongly encourage customers to refrain from exchanging their mattresses before the initial 30 days are over.

Does the mattress come with a home trial, and how does the exchange policy work?

Every new mattress feels different, and your body needs some time to adjust and get used to the new feel. It is normal for the mattress to feel a bit strange and not as comfortable in the beginning, but the longer you sleep on it, the better you will experience its benefits.

That is why we offer a free home trial with free exchanges and free returns for UK mainland customers.

  • The initial home trial period is 50 days, counting from the same day the mattress is delivered to you
  • If you find the mattress uncomfortable, we can exchange it with something more suitable, or you can return it straightaway
  • If you decide to exercise your right to exchange, you can try the replacement mattress for another 50 days and still return it for a full refund if it proves unsatisfactory
How long is the mattress guarantee and what does it cover?

The Millenium Latex Mattress comes with a 15-year manufacturer's guarantee against faults in materials and poor workmanship (including sagging). The warranty covers any visible indentations more than 2cm deep.

  • We require a copy of the original sales receipt as proof of your purchase
  • Our product guarantee covers repair or replacement of the original mattress; i.e., if the product is declared faulty, we will not issue a refund but will repair or replace the product accordingly
  • Following a replacement or repair, the guarantee will remain valid from the date of the original purchase
  • The guarantee is valid from the date of the original purchase, is for your benefit as the original purchaser only, and is not transferable to any other person
  • If you sell or transfer your product, the subsequent owner accepts the product “as is” and has no rights to claim under the guarantee
  • In the event of a dispute, Latex Sense may request product inspection by an impartial third party, such as ISM Networks (Furniture Services), before agreeing to undergo repairs or replacements. ISM Networks are reputable service providers and experts. The inspections are carried out by highly skilled technicians and include an assessment of the mattress and bed base

A tear in the fabric, which can be caused by accidental damage such as the fabric catching some sharp object, will not invoke the warranty as this is not a manufacturing fault or defect and therefore is not covered by the guarantee.

Latex Sense reserves the right to refuse warranty repair or replacement if a new mattress becomes damaged due to being used on a bed base with inadequate slat gaps, a second-hand bed foundation with insufficient support, or if it is in an unsanitary condition.

Latex Sense reserves the right to supply an equivalent alternative, in the instance where the mattress in question has been discontinued and is not repairable.

Clause 22  outlines our company's product warranty terms in full detail.
